At the end of June, myself and 10 others will be heading down to Haiti for a week-long missions trip with Living Water International. This will be our second attempt at the mission trip as our 2011 plans had to be canceled do to political unrest in Haiti (Gods Timing I guess) I am thrilled to be a part of this team and trip for a number of reasons. To put it simply I am just plain excited to help and see first hand how providing clean water to a community can transform a life. We are so blessed to be able to help others in this way. “With great power comes great responsibility” Peter Parker. As a Christian living in a country with the tools to change the world I truly do believe we bare a huge responsibility to simply open our eyes to those around us. While others on the team have been on mission trips to impoverished countries before, it will be my first time. I know that the trip will have a profound impact on my life. It will be amazing to play a small part in the work LWI does on the ground everyday. I’m so proud of the people who have stepped forward to take on this trip and to help make it a success. I am excited to document this trip here on my blog and plan to share pictures, thoughts and my feelings of this undoubtably overwhelming and eye opening adventure.
Since we have added a number of people to the mission trip, as a team we are still in great need for financial support. If you would like to support the mission trip and our quest to bring fresh water to Haiti. Leading up to our trip the team will be trying to raise around $600 per person. We would be very grateful for any amount of support. Please send checks to Hillside Assembly of God and prayers to Heaven.

Below are a list of the members of our 2012 Haiti Team and a few pictures to put a face with the names.

This is one of my favorite pictures at the end of my 2010 run across america for LWI. I'm really happy that both my Dad (Mike) and younger brother (Josh) will be coming on the missions trip. They both played a big part getting me from ocean to ocean.

Paster Paul has been a huge help and supporter of my LWI efforts. He played a big role in helping me cold calling pastors for housing on my run. He is also putting forth a lot of effort to help make this missions trip a reality. I'm thrilled he is able to be a part of it. (Picture is of his wild side

Nate Ziolkowski is one of the nicest young men you will ever come across and I know he is going to make the trip a lot of fun. Nate came on pretty late or Just in time how ever you want to say it. He is the only member of the team not from Hillside Assembly but great long time friends with my family.

Brianna and Laura are the youngest on the trip as they are both still in high school. There enthusiasm for missions work is exciting! (Laura is not-pictured or the master of disguise one of the two)
(Above) Marry Ann Liefke was a huge supporter of my run and I am so happy that she will be able to come see and par take in the work of living water. Her passion for helping the thirsty is matched by few.
Peggy and Rodney Murray - These two have been on board and willing to help since day one. There strong faith and steady commitment toward the success of this mission trip has been wonderful. Can’t wait to see Peggy hauling those pipes
Raymond Lawrence – I still have not meet Raymond and to be honest he is starting to become almost legendaryin my mind. (I have heard great things) Raymond has also been ready to go since day one.
